Four days. One local guide. The Rif Mountains I’ve called home my whole life.

Welcome! I’m Ayman, born and raised right here in Chefchaouen. Growing up, these peaks were my backyard. I spent my childhood exploring hidden trails and learning the secrets of mountain life alongside my father—a lifelong local expert. Now, I want to invite you into that world.

This 4-day trek takes you deep into Talassemtane National Park: summiting Jbel El Kalaa, exploring Rif villages, eating home-cooked meals on our family farm and mountain trails, and relaxing at Akchour waterfalls and a traditional Hammam.

This isn't a rushed tour bus—it's a real, personal adventure with a local.

Day 2: Deep into Talassemtane National Park to Azilan Village

After a fresh farm breakfast, we begin our trek at 10:00 AM heading into the core of Talassemtane National Park. The first 3 to 4 hours involve an uphill trail through ancient fir forests before we stop for a mountain picnic. We then descend into the remote village of Azilan to stay at a local lodge hosted by my friend Ibrahim. We finish the evening with a warm village dinner and relaxed conversation by the fire.

  • Trek Duration: ~6–7 Hours

  • Meals Included: Farm Breakfast, Light Trail Lunch, & Lodge Dinner

  • Accommodation: Azilan Mountain Lodge

Day 1: Chefchaouen Summit Hike to Family Eco-Lodge

We meet in Chefchaouen town center and begin our trek straight up into the mountains toward the summit of Jbel El Kalaa (1,616m). We hike above the city, taking in breathtaking panoramic views of the blue city from high above rather than the streets below. After a scenic rest stop at the summit, we descend to our family lodge, Le Sommet Naturel, where my father prepares a fresh, delicious traditional tagine using organic ingredients from our farm.

  • Trek Duration: ~6–7 Hours

  • Meals Included: Afternoon Tea & Dinner

  • Accommodation: Le Sommet Naturel Lodge

Day 3: Azilan Village to the Canyons of Akchour

We enjoy breakfast and set off at 10:00 AM for a beautiful day of downhill trekking. We cross traditional Rif mountain villages, enjoying sweeping valley views along the way. We stop for a picnic near Farda Bridge by the river (with an option for a quick swim if warm). Continuing down toward Akchour, we catch stunning high-altitude views of the famous God’s Bridge arch before arriving at our family-owned lodge in Akchour for dinner on the terrace.

  • Trek Duration: ~6-7 Hours

  • Meals Included: Lodge Breakfast, Light Trail Lunch, & Lodge Dinner

  • Accommodation: Akchour Lodge

Day 4: God’s Bridge, Akchour Waterfalls & Moroccan Hammam

We hike along the canyon river trail to view God’s Bridge from below, stopping for mint tea by the water. We then trek up a neighboring river canyon to the small waterfall, where we enjoy a fresh, full lunch right by the water. After lunch, we hike back to the trailhead and take a private transport back to Chefchaouen. We end our adventure with a traditional Moroccan Hammam to bathe, relax, and recharge before saying goodbye!

  • Trek Duration: ~4-5 Hours

  • Meals Included: Lodge Breakfast & Riverside Lunch

  • Transport: Private transfer back to Chefchaouen included
